Lycra Skin Suit ?

I was looking at the past post about this and all I seen was Mumbaki's tutorial I thinks it was his. Anyway, their was no pics to see how this was done. I was thinking of going this rout instead of the MrI suit . I could mould the muscle a little better to fit me. I was going to use poly-fill to layer up the muscle with latex, and using a DT dummy to hold the structure. Does this sound right and do I need to get a lycra suit to fit or a little bigger ,due to the shrinking of the latex. Thanks for any help guys

It sounds like you have the right idea. I've always gone with the lycra that fits just right, the duct tape dummy should be stiff enough to keep the suit from shrinking inward. But remember, tis the season for gorging oneself... I like to leave a slight bit of room for that case, my weight fluctuates and I rather it be a little loose than really tight. lol

i dont know what your experience is dude, but 2yr ago i was all over this site, and did my body suit with lycra. i cut out a custom shape, and used carpet padding for muscles. long story short - i should have just bought a mr I suit assuming they had them back then. i would say just buy the mr i suit. i'm trying to find one on craigslist right now. 70 bucks is kinda steep for a post-halloween costume for a movie that is already kinda old. my advice -buy a mr I

I do have some experience, with latex and other materials and I have some knowledge on making prosthetics. I molded my own Nihilus mask from clay then cast it into fiberglass so I'm ok there i just think that the Mr I suit is a little bulky thats all. I do appreciate your input. :p
