Lycra skin paint-up (1st time with an airbrush)

That looks absolutely killer! I was wondering about alternatives to latex suits and if they would compare in looks or not... obviously they do! Love it! Can't wait for pics of the suit

Thanks for all the great Feedback, As i'm sure your aware the current economic climate makes our little hobby difficult to maintain at a steady pace, So I am going to have to sell this baby...
Please check it out on the Trade section.

Many thanks Lee

Yeah bud, got some permawet, awesome stuff, you need to wear a respirator tho to use it. I could see it putting a nice shiney coat on your lungs otherwise!

Yeah I took a couple with the permawet but it don't really make enough differance to put more pics up.

Im doing a simular thing. Did the perma wet give it more of a rubber texture so it blended in with the mask? Im scared you will see to much of a diffrence between the material and the mask

I have been thinking of doing this method for ages as I did the same thing using a cotton tracksuit. Have you got a full kit on pic??

Unfortunatly not, the skin really was awesome and someome made me an offer for it I couldnt refuse, I'll be doing a few more of these this year so look out in the marketplace for them.

I don't suppose you'd be interested in making another one of these? I'd really like to get my hands on one!

I've sent you a PM :)

Great stuff. I know this is an old thread, but  had to comment it! Got my Mr I-suit the other day and was gonna do the whole latex thing, but the damn thing was way too small... and putting latex on it would make it even smaller, so NO! No Mr I-suit for me... Sad and miserable I sat down in fornt of the computer, hitting the Lair to see what's new and suddenly I came across this (old) post and it cheered me up. Your suit looks really good, and finding a white lycra suit on ebay was no biggie and it will arrive in a week or so. I will maybe try to attach some chest muscles and abs, but maybe that wont be necessary.

How did the paint and perma wet hold up after a while on your suit? I have used FW inks in the past and think they are really good, but I have never used them on fabric. An alternative I'm thinking of might be to use airbrush paint made especially for fabric? A quick google search got me looking into a brand called Medea, which is easy to fnd here in Sweden. A little more expensive than FW Ink, but not that much.

Anyway, I will probably put up my own post about my work, but I wanted to send you a little thanks, for the inspiration!
