So taking into account the Blu-ray is $30-35 , the lamp is running you around $165 , :unsure I understand from a collectors point of view, but it still seems a little much,
Its an actual working Luxo desk lamp. They are an expensive line of lamps and very hard to find. It come attached to a base that you store your DVDs in. I believe it can quickly be disconnected if you want to. Well worth getting if you have ever wanted to get an actual Luxo lamp, a great deal in fact.
Originally these were going to be a decent quality lamp. Look at the start date of this thread. BUT the Luxo company threw a fit when Pixar went to sell these and was looking to file a suit. Both sides got together and Pixar did make slight modifications for as an agreement to both sides. I WISH they would have had a special LUXO Co lamp made but this is what they went with. The Pixar Store has a really cool mechanical jumping lamp that is really a nice Pixar fan replica. That is the one I really wanted to get for my collection. At one time I was going to be going for a tour of the facilities but I got fired a couple weeks before and had to cancel the trip.
