Luna's Ultimate Spider-Man Build, Orhadar Print. [Pic Heavy]

You're suit has been an amazing inspiration. I am selling stuff in the Junkyard at the moment to get the money together for a similar build with the same pattern. I intend to use the suit for fundraising and such. With great costumes comes great responsibility and I really want to mean something when I put this kind of money in such an awesome suit.

Thanks for the inspiration.
Right on, man, thank you for the kind words and good luck with your project. Let me know what kind of fundraising plans you have for it, I'd always like more ideas about what to do with my suit to contribute to my community or my other projects.
Cheers.

I was thinking about a stand for 'Spider-Pictures' at a local charity market. They raise funds for the KWF. A dutch foundation that fights against cancer.

That's wonderful! Shine on, you Spidey diamond. The world needs heroes, and you can be theirs. I can tell you from experience that kids and kids at heart LOVE meeting Spider-Man, I bet that would work out great.

Is there another pair of shoes you'd recommend aside from the flossy plimsolls? P.s. this is just awesome. :thumbsup :thumbsup

Flossy are the best budget shoes I've found, tuxedo slippers have the best overall shape but are very expensive. People have also used kung fu slippers, aqua shoes, deadlift slippers, neoprene socks from wetsuits, boxing shoes. Check out this thread for more info or ideas:

Amazing suit man! Did you have a backpack strapped to you? I'm pretty sure that's what it is, but I wanted to make sure it wasn't part of the sew job, lol

Thanks! Yes, I do have a little backpack/satchel with thin gray-green straps in the pictures. Not part of the suit. :)

Hey Luna, one more question (sorry if this has been asked already), but where did you buy the zippers to send to TrophyWife? In the thread it says she requires a few of them to get it set up as you did.

Thanks man!

I just went to a local fabric store, bought the longest invisible zippers they had. Invisible zippers have zipper tape that completely covers the teeth when closed, ask the people at the fabric store and they'll know what you're talking about.

Hey Luna, was just wondering how well do the fabric pen lines look on stitch lines etc? Having a slight issue with puff paint cracking in places on my suit :facepalm and just gathering ideas for my next attempt ;) any chance i could bother you for a close up shot of them if possible? Cheers! :)

Hey Tom, sorry to hear about your puffy paint complications! The fabric pen looks pretty good on seamlines, thought it appears slightly "fuzzier" in those areas. Don't have an easy photo reference for it on hand, but in this shot you can see the seam that runs from the armpit up along the side of the neck as well as the throat dart above the spider emblem (where it's visible that I popped a stitch. I fixed that afterward.)

Thanks Man, i was trying to look for the seam lines on your other pics, now you've pointed them out i'm really liking the pens quality! I'm gonna try and thicken up the webs that snapped, but I think I'm definerly going to look into making a more durable suit In the near future :thumbsup thanks again for the help! :D

For sure, man! I love your work, so I'm excited to see what you make next! Cheers.

Lunaman, I'm wondering, I ordered a print, and my sizing was messed up. I'm at 5'5-5'6 and the Orhadar print I got printed, was sent to a nearby seamstress, although, I have such broad shoulders, that suit fits super tight. Although, with permission from Orhadar himself, I am able to sell that suit for the same funds I used to get it printed and sewn, how tall are you? And did you go a size higher to get a snug fit? I'm trying to replicate your suit, I just don't know what to do at this point. I don't want to keep messing up sizing. Any advice you could possibly share with me?

I'm 5'8", I actually had to get mine sized down slightly. I can't really give sizing advice beyond my experience, which was to fit the file to my height and then work with the seamstress to match my dimensions after. That's for a lean build fairly close to the standard file height. If you have a particularly stocky build across the shoulders it might not make sense to size the file to your vertical height, since it scales at the same rate in both dimensions, and you'd end up with the head/arms too small even with the height appropriate. I've seen some shorter but muscular guys just work with a standard print size and make their suits work with some adjustments, but I don't know the ins and outs.
