Luna's Ultimate Spider-Man Build, Orhadar Print. [Pic Heavy]

Cool beans. I saw you on reddit, and on toplessrobot too, looks like you're going pseudo-viral with Ye-Olde spiderman :p /gratz

PS. I must say Lunaman you are a class act too, giving props to everyone who assisted with the suit, sharing info, and being completely humble about the whole thing. I tip my hat in respect to you Sir.
Thanks for the kind words! The response on reddit has been a bit overwhelming, haha.

Hey Luna, my friend just posted a link to this on my Facebook, and even though I've seen this thread before, it just reminded me of how awesome it is to be a part of therpf spiderman community. Once again, great build!
Right on, thanks, man! The internet is a wonky little place sometimes.

Luna, I've been out of it for so long due to money problems but I don't wanna bore you with that. Anyways dude your suit looks incredible best I've seen I actually found it on pulse. Great job! We gotta get together and go to some cons when I finally get around to finishing mine.

So badass man... I saw it on Topless Robot before I saw it finished on here... Outstanding!

Thanks, man!

Thanks, brother! I've got your symbiote print almost finished up as well. Hope to see you around. :)

Defiantly want to see that! I'm still in the process of getting mine sewn.
Nice! Here's the current state of it:

Thanks for the compliment! Neither the Greek not Danish comics are mine however, a collector at the long beach comic expo asked me to pose with two of his copies of amazing spider- #129. :)

Um. Did you read the words between the pictures? Haha, sorry, I just don't know how to explain it any better than I did on the first page. I darkened them with Pigma micron pens.

Haha I should have explained more. Read through the tut word for word and saw that you used rollers to stretch the lycra for the fingers. Was just wondering how you stretched the lycra for the chest area, etc... Did you wear the costume when you did this?

Haha, oh! No, I just laid it flat, usually on my thigh or knee, and drew a bit at a time, sometimes with a little card of posterboard behind it in tricky areas. The fabric doesn't really have to be stretched much while you saturate the line with ink, it's just very difficult to draw on the fingers without something inside them. For the non-dominant hand you can just wear the glove while you draw on it with your writing hand, but when it comes to doing your dominant hand, you need a plan. The permanence of the archival ink cuts both ways--if you slip up you can't undo your mistakes.

Here's another cool shot of my Ultimate Suit that was just sent to me, from a photographer with the handle "Yorkinabox".

do the eyes look a little far apart? good costume!
They look like they are simply in the location that I placed them. In the suit's first official appearance in the Ultimate Spider-man Comics the eyes are fairly far apart, in other drawings they are closer together. I went with a nice medium. Were I going for a look like one of the movie suits, I would have placed them closer to the point of origin of the webs. But as it is, I did not want to crowd the "center circle."

good costume!
thanks.
