Mine just came in Yay! My pommel wouldn't fit either, like a couple have reported, I just sanded it down and it fits fine now. I bought one of those collars and it wouldn't fit onto the rod, but I popped it on the drill press and made the hole a hair bigger and now it fits. My bearing doesn't fit in the hole at all, like I don't think it's even close, but I don't need it because the collar holds it on and it still spins. All the parts are test fit minus the clamp and mystery chunk.

On mine I had to sand out the back end for the pommel and file the opening inside that the rod goes through.
It all fits great now.

Just got mine today, I was doing the 'happy dance' as I unwrapped the box!
Everything looks great.
Couple of additional parts and the build can begin.

First time saber builder questions. How are you guys securing the rod to the main saber body? Also, based on what I can see, haven't measured it, but the rod is not long enough to pass from the set screws in the emitter to where the bearing will set once I get it seated.

I remember seeing 2 YouTube videos somewhere that showed the build in detail. Can't seem to find them now... :(

Mine came today as well. Anybody got a diagram for exactly where relative to the d-ring the mystery chunk goes?

Also did you guys receive 1 or 2 set screws for the emitter because there are two holes and I'm not sure if there should be a set screw for each one.

My saber come in yesterday. Perfect condition, everything fits perfectly. So its perfect...

just waiting for the clamp from Roman. Have applied all the stencils, so painting today.

Any more people dropping from the original commitment? I'll happily take up any cancelled order if one becomes available (I know there have been others willing to do the same, so I'll get in line)

for those using the paint stencils, are you dinging up the aluminum to give it a truly authentic beat up look so as to be 100% accurate to screen-used piece, or are you leaving aluminum pristine, so the "weathered" paint job is the only thing truly "beat up" looking about the prop? I am tempted to scar my aluminum up, bit can't quite bring myself to scratch it up. There is another part of me that says I should give it pristine paint job.

what are most of you doing?

DrMcoy I was going to weather it but but it is such a nice piece I'm going pristine (for now)

I got the bearing in but now it is stuck and the hole is off center which means that the rod comes out at an odd angle band gets stuck. Now I can't get either the rod or the bearing out.
