Limited Run Luke V2 liightsaber (Second Run) Sign up thread

I don't quite understand your question. As you can see in the picture, the hole is already drilled
I think it was a joke.

I see the grenade section has the varying width bands unlike the first run. Better shop or tweaked design? Looks great.
I noticed this as well. I'm very curious, was this discovered to be on the original prop? As far as I knew only the hero had varying rings? Not trying to put it down, just genuinely curious.

No, I was genuinely asking if it came drilled, as I wasn't sure. I'm very happy to see that it does :D Thank you for the reply Anakin Starkiller :cheers. I can not wait to add this beautiful work of art to my collection, & to get started on the build. Just let me know when payment is needed.

If extras or a spot becomes available, I'm willing to pay a little extra. :thumbsup

I was on the interest list but was away from the forum during when it turned into the sign up thread and closed. I hope there is enough interest for another run and I'm fine paying before machining begins.

Looks great! Quick question, in the photos above some of the lower rings look uneven Is this based on new info? Or is it just the way the pics look pics? Not trying to diss or anything, genuinely curious! Thanks!

I believe, but may be wrong, that when the original prop resurfaced in a fan's collection last year that it was discovered that it had the uneven grip ridges like the Hero prop had. This would make sense as the Hero was based on the V2 when it was created.

That's what I assume, but I have been unable to find the info in the previous general discussion threads or confirmation of this by any other members. And as far as I know anakin starkillers firstrun had even ridges, although I don't know for certain and it would be great to have confirmation of this from anyone.

I looked back and could not find anything either; I based my assumptions on three facts: The original V2 prop was meticulously sourced via photos for both runs, the Hero which we know to have uneven ridges and was based off of the V2 prop, and I saw a statement somewhere that said the first run was should have been uneven and the shop did not machine it that way for some reason. I would love to know more as well as I stated before, this is my favorite lightsaber prop from the OT.

That's what i'm saying! We the people demand answers!… Or, at the very least, politely request at the earliest convenience.

His files accounted for the uneven spacing I believe. It was the previous machine shop that took shortcuts and made them even (and then threw the parts together in a box to ship them without wrapping them individually) I think what you're seeing here is Better Machine Shop = Better Product.

Good to know! Although, one must wonder if shipping them unwrapped didn't save on later weathering efforts. :D

That's what i'm assuming, although it would be nice to get confirmation from Anakin himself, not that I don't believe you. I'm so excited about this I can hardly wait to pay!
