Limited Run Luke ROTJ V2 lightsaber- based on the new info from SWCA (UPDATE PG 37)

Re: Luke ROTJ V2 lightsaber- based on the new info from SWCA

So much collaboration has gone into this project...it's been a few weeks and as I'm waiting on the sidelines, I'd like to thank everyone that made this possible! (Including Brandon himself) I think I need to learn to use 3D modeling software soon... :D carry on!

Echoed on the frustration in missing the sign-up! Please throw my name on the Stand-by list...I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Re: Luke ROTJ V2 lightsaber- based on the new info from SWCA

Please add me to the standby list, thanks.

Re: Luke ROTJ V2 lightsaber- based on the new info from SWCA

I'd like to be on the standby list, as well.

Please add my name as well to the standby list if spots are still available

Re: Luke ROTJ V2 lightsaber- based on the new info from SWCA

I've been reading back through the thread trying to figure out which holes will be drilled/included on this run, (apologies if I've just missed it)

I usually end up going for slightly idealised versions of things but with the V2 it's really all the weird little details that make it for me,

I know that the hole for the cone knob is now being added :)

what about the chunk/fillister screw hole behind it? I know the first 2 pics are of the Shared Stunt but I'm guessing the 2 holes are in the same positions as the V2?

obviously the Shared stunt has the holes in the emitter & windvane but are these also on the V2?

Are there others?

I know that this run will just be awesome, can't wait :)

Re: Luke ROTJ V2 lightsaber- based on the new info from SWCA

So, since we still don't know what that screw or chunk is, I think Dan decided to leave it off. It's easier to make a hole than un-make it, ya know?

He is including the set screw in the booster section (that keeps the pommel on?). Check out the first post!

Two opposing set screws in the nipple for sure

That's about all I know :)

is the set screws in the nipple stop the emitter from spinning? or our we going to have to use tape ( like they did in the film) to stop the emitter from spinning?

Me too. The screws in the nipple originally held the blade in.

Re: Luke ROTJ V2 lightsaber- based on the new info from SWCA

hey folks,
I made some small modifications to the lever design. I post it here for review and if you agree, I will start the run next week.
The lever includes the screw, rectangular nut and rectangular back-plate. The lever will be nickel plated brass, the rest will be in stainless steel. The Graflex clamp is NOT included.
The current price estimation is $30 (including shipping worldwide). This is not cheap, but because of the special lever shape, each lever is CNC machined and polished.
I will do a run of 100 units, but I will make more if they run out. All sales will be through www.WannaWanga.com
If some of you want the end-tip bend stronger, it's maybe best if they do so themselves at their own preference.

Oh my god Roy..yep. Especially looking at the back-view I love how this looks.

Ive been thinking king about this a long time. Given the odd shine on the real one - I think the real one was made out of thin metal, with soft corners and a LOT of dents over time. Yours looks much stronger and in very happy with the design :)

Re: Luke ROTJ V2 lightsaber- based on the new info from SWCA

Right now the run is closed because the order has already been placed with the shop. But there may be some left over when the machining is done. I'm making a standby list and when all of the other orders are fulfilled, I will contact all the latecomers in order of contact.

Thanks

Dan

Please add me to the stand by list and if there is another run im interested also
