Sorry to revive an older thread like this, guys. But I purchased a Nicksdad Hero V1 thru The Junkyard a few months back, and had a couple of questions. My apologies!
I had been planning on DIY'ing my own "reveal" board to go in the control box, but it seems that whoever first completed this hilt either glued or cemented down the clamp card onto the control box. I've tried a heat gun with a restrictor nozzle for a small amount of time, but I'm pretty wary of damaging anything on the hilt...anywhere, lol. It didn't do much good to begin with as far as I can tell. Would something like Goo Gone be safe enough / work on this enough so I could get the clamp card unglued / uncemented you think? Or would there be a better chemical that would be safer to use on brass / copper / aluminum? Whatever it is that's holding it, it's strong, and after viewing some other users's finished versions in this thread I can see that there's no tiny space in between the card and the control box on mine like there is on a lot of theirs. I'll try to get some pics of it ASAP.
Also, I've luckily found someone (who graciously offered to help) who's willing to print me a 3D resin print version of the reveal board. Would anyone here happen to know the dimensions / measurements (in millimeters, if possible) they used for their card? Any help is very much appreciated; thanks!
