Luke lightsaber on display at Ripley’s Believe It Or Not… anyone know anything?

I remember the images were floating around here for some time; I believe it was a Gary Kurtz saber

(Which basically means that from images thus far; is not screen used)

So unfortunate...

Hate to think of unsuspecting people being duped by things like this...

Hate to think of a dad being excited and showing his son, when in actuality, its not what it is claimed it is...

If anything
Thanks all - I won’t waste my time.
The graflex might have been from production, god knows. All the decoration probably is replica or made after the fact like that weird Vader saber with red t track, similar to the energizer track

Anyway, Ripley's did buy the Han Solo blaster at auction right? I wonder if that's there... that was real at least, albeit with a melted scope

Don’t think that Solo blaster ever appeared on screen either. But it was at least built to be at the time. Just never actually screen used. Maybe it was holstered?

It was the one with the melted scope (on my phone, I dont have pics with me. I want to say it was at a 2018 auction, matte black spray paint and fingerprints over the whole thing. I believe it also used a real scope bell.

Yeah I can’t remember which photo we are talking about, I’m gonna google

My father sent me the ad for the exhibit but I had to break the news to him that it wasn't a true screen used flex, kind of unfortunate too, he seemed really excited about it! He's been a OT fan since the day his dad took him to see ANH way back in '77.

Completely validates my post; illustrates my sentiments...

Glad at least there was enough insight at hand before your family wasn't too vested in this.
