Obi Wan has the rapid aging disease from the Star Trek episode "The Deadly Years."
He goes from padawan to Master in the prequels and was "too old to begin the training. So, how old was he? 20 years later, he can't remember how to pronounce his "old" name ("...follow old Obi Wann on some idealistic crusade, like your Father did..."
And he's suddenly "too old" to do things and he looks like some old crazy wizard.
He can't remember who Anakin was following off of Tatooine either, apparently, nor the purpose. I guess Jedi training might be some idealistic crusade...
And Yoda has it as well. In 20 years, he went from looking like Mark Hamill does now (Episode III) to an old decrepit creature - yet he's supposed to have lived for 900 years! Perhaps Vader found the "Picture of Dorian Gray" on Dagobah...
