Luke ANH/ESB lightsaber (different types?)

Hi guys,

I'm considering getting my first lightsaber and trying to figure out which to get :confused

It should be a Luke ANH or ESB all metal one with the Graflex logo writing on the bottom cap and the clamp...

Don't need sound, light or blade...

What are my options?

There are some other past replicas out there, but the only sure bet for a decent price will be the new run from Roman's Props.

If you want an original flash, then you'll be able to find them easily on auction sites. Be warned, however, that most Star Wars items have super inflated prices (easily double what they used to be) at the moment - especially the GRAFLEX. You may want to wait a few months for the dust to settle from the new movie before you decide to go that route.

When you managed to get the Graflex, real or replica, you can get either an ANH or ESB conversion set from me at www.wannawanga.com
There's also some detailed blueprints for both versions. Good luck!

That's the one! And yeah, prices keep going up on the real deals. I remember in 2006 being like "$250 no way, I'll go with the Parks" now they're Buy-It-Now for $600. The bubble will absolutely burst, you're just gonna have to hold out. Only way for people to stop selling them at those prices is for people to stop buying them. That said, I bet they stay in the 300-400 range, since the prop has so much visibility again. Judging by Roman's Obi-Wan, I'm sure his GRAFLEX will be top notch.

I think I'll try to get a Graflex replica from Roman's run!

I've been looking at Parks and I really like them... Only thing is that I'm going for accuracy as it's a display piece and the new kit has holes in the bottom cap (to allow sound I guess?)... And even though the rest of the saber looks gorgeous I just know that I'll see those holes every time I pick it up!

Yeah, the new Parks kit is a very different. He used to make a basic replica, but the new kit is made of different materials and geared much more toward electronics installs etc. Have fun with the build! The wannawanga.com parts are top notch btw, so definitely hit Roy up to complete your saber!
