I was sick when I read about this a couple of days ago. Sorry, but these grandiose moves are complete waste... as has been hinted at, the trend is for a boatload (ahem) of pockets to get lined, and the people (remember them?) who these charities are meant to serve (the research these funds are supposed to support, the infrastructure the money is supposed to help create, the crises the funding is supposed to off-set, etc etc etc) get nothing.

I could start a thread about that '80s movie with Corey Haim and it would still end up that way.
