LOTR Replica Map HELP!!!

OK so I was on here browsing, before signing up, and found a thread about making a LOTR map. I found the perfect paper and have several JPG, TIF files to work from. BUT.... the holy grail of maps I can't seem to find. It's a copy of the file Adam Savage posted back in 2006 from the map he made. All the links either don't work or they aren't the file Adam posted. Tried contacting Mr. Savage but to no avail.

Does anyone still have this file and if so can you post a link to where I can download it?

Look at the very last post in Adam's LOTR Map thread (post #290, from Montagar). I already had the file, but to make sure, I JUST downloaded it from the link in that post. The .RAR file has 3 versions of his map, so you can take your pick.

I didn't think that was the one he had used, cuz if you look at his drawing, (from his website) it is different, almost entirely.

I am able to download from that last link, so thanks. I will probably go in and edit those with some of the other pics I found. Don't quite like the map designation on it. Think I will change it up a bit.

I just checked his site & you're right, that one is different (I think it said it was hand-drawn?), but the one in the download link is the only one he ever offered here.

I bet you he went back afterward and did the digital version, changing stuff around a bit, after doing the hand drawn one. I will have to post my progress with this project as it goes. I will be making two LOTR maps, one for myself, another for a friend and then a Dinotopa map for myself.

BTW do you know of a good drawing medium. I have some Amate Bark Paper I am using but I am not sure if I should use regular old ink pens, fine point sharpies or what, to actually trace this out with. I don't want to go the printing route.

YAY!!! I have it started!!!! Sorry I don't have any pics to post at the moment. It is comming along awesomely. I decided to intermix several maps I found, including the one Mr. Savage provided.

I had nothing to do while sitting through Hurricane Issac, so I pulled out the paper and started tracing/drawing. And yes I am doing some of it free handed, as I don't quite like how some of the words were laid out and such. Looks great so far and I have about 1/3 of it done. I work offshore in the gulf, and am at work currently, so will have to wait till I get home to work on it some more. Can't wait!!!! (But I will have to. Haha)
