propologist, I was sure I used a pic of the cartoon as reference but I can not find it now! I did a search and all I could find was one in orange and yellow (pic 1, part of a picture frame) and pic 2 which is all yellow. The second pic also has the words "ACME DISINTEGRATOR RAYGUN" on the side. Thought this was a nice touch :thumbsup

I was considering making one for my own prop gun collection.
I think if I did I would use the colors from the first pic with the writing from the second. If I am correct in my assumption the ray gun may never have appeared the exact same way twice.
I would also like to make the rifle to go with it (pic 3) I also found another pic of the rifle with what appears to be a lightning bolt across the side. The pic however was to small and grainy so I did not save it.
If anyone has any pics of these I would be grateful if you would post them so we could see them.

Man this is awesome! If I ever see anyone with the bat suit I will high 5 them until the day I die!

Man WB is missing a great opportunity! Why haven't they made a nice CG feature of looney tunes? Or heck..bring back the shorts to open other animated features with!!!!!

Here's images from the original cartoons I am working from. I have about 25 various images. I'm working off the originals and not anything from 80's up . All the later items where not as good as the originals.
Don't get me wrong , it looks great . these are just the ones i am going from to create the guns. I am going to do stands and plaques as well on them.

and your right , they did change , but i've been capping the original toons from his original appearances and not things produced later. I'm old school who didn't care for the junk that came after chuck jones :)

because they would screw them up . the voices and artwork since chuck jones and Mel Blanc passed have been terrible...Space jam etc.

got my working prototype done for the Foghorn Leghorn Hen Grenade from The Egg-Cited Rooster (1952). Sliding box with egg. Need to attach the pin part to the egg and print out the graphics.

and to add. This is a little black/white font play i am doing for Wile E. and the Road Runner. Just using all their scientific names and silhouette. Has both names of the creators and their Scientific names in various fonts . Still playing with it. it will be three separate pieces. Will be selling larger 18 x 24 prints on ebay :)

That pic of him in that suit is just awesome, and one often referenced with regards to the skydiving/basejumping wingsuit-stuff...

Looking at those ray guns gets my wheels a-turning. I was planning on doing some more "real" ray guns. But the WB disintegrators really make me want to do a simple cartoon gun.

yeah people like to take things beyond the cartoony part of it. While i love ray guns , the simple toon guns have always interested me more. Considering they where drawn/produced before many of the guns in real movies anyway.

I didn't put anything , just shading. I started to , but i wanted to stick to the basic idea of the prop and not complicate it too much. I will have just squiggling lines with various shading to give the illusion of type.
