looking for this diamond knurl sheet

i am looking for a piece of this diamond knurl sheet, can't seem to find the correct size. It was used on a star trek rifle

Anybody know where to get it or even better have a spare piece?

You might want to look at vintage ice trays on ebay.

They have a few with the same patern your looking for like this one... you just need to match the size.

about the closest i can find is this you would have to cast it to get a negative image Aluminum Pattern Sheet :
Aluminum Foil Containers, Steam Sterilizers, Steam Tables Lids, Catering Trays

I have a friend who was into machining at one point in his life, and he claims that knurling is one of the easiest things to do with machining.

See if you can find a local shop of cheap web service that will do it.

Marc, if you're just looking for a tiny piece of it, like the size of the piece in your picture, go look at DVD or CD cases. Hardshell cases. There are plenty out there that have a very similar pattern on it.

It's actually very similar to the pattern on the superman returns cape. it can be machined with a v-groove bit pretty easily, if you know someone with a cnc router or mill.

I have a couple of large "Fast and Furious" RC cars for parts which have a similar pattern on the undercarriage. Each diamond measures about 3/32, compared to the 1/8 on your sample. I saved this part of the cars specifically for the knurl pattern. You might find the same or a closer pattern on similar products.

That's what I was thinking when I saw the pictures and suggested vuntage ice cube trays.
