Looking for Mal's Pistol

Hello there everyone.

Long time looking, first time posting.

I'm a huge fan of Firefly/Serenity and I've always LOVED Mal's Pistol, from the moment I first saw it. To make it short I REALLY want one.

Now I've been looking around, but I'm honestly not very good at finding stuff on. I've found one replica of the pistol, sold by QMx, which I'm sure you all know. However, this is a resin/plastic version as far as I know and it dosn't have a working trigger, which I would be very interested in. So, here I am. I hope some of you who are more into the whole "prop sworld" know of other good replicas, preferable with a working trigger and in metal.

But at least just a working trigger would be increadible!

Thank you! :rolleyes

(I sadly don't have the tool to make it myself from scratch)

Hey - As a new member, you should post in the following thread that you want to buy a Mal pistol:

With that said, if you need reference on what's available, here's my list of Mal pistols that have popped up over the years:

Metal versions (with working triggers):

Model 47
Model 47a
Sidkit Firefly version
Sidkit Serenity version

Resin:
Philippes (and the recasts of said version)
QMx Stunt (movie version - Two variations with different finishes)
QMx "Metal-plated" replica - Basically the third version of the Stunt but in polystone
Wilco
Sidkit resin version
Recast Sidkit
Sloopyjon
Jukity
Paintbynumbers
Arsenal/Coolmodels

Expect to pay a healthy amount for any of the metal ones, especially the Model 47 and 47a. Here is an excellent post by a fellow member with reference photos and more info on many of them: fireflyprops.net; View topic - Model 47 help

Maddy, I'm not sure how much luck you'll have. I could be mistaken, but I think there are only 3 metal versions of Mal's sidearm. The Sidkit version, the Model 47 and the Model 47A. If you run a search on these names you'll find a ton of info. The Sidkit is hard to find and the 47 and 47A are next to impossible to find and if you do, expect to shell out a nice chunk of change. I for one plan to be buried in my browncoat with my 47A!

EDIT - Crap! Beat me to it by seconds... and did a better job of explaining to boot!
