Hi, all!
Lately, I have grown a slight obsession with Felix Stone's (Michael Paré) gun from the 1990 movie "Moon 44", one of Roland Emmerich's earlier works. It is a Desert Eagle, obviously, with a metric ton of greeblies attached to it.
I'm eyeing making an approximate replica from a cheap air-soft replica (with some artistic freedom); however, if anyone knows anything about the details on that gun, I'd appreciate your input.
The gun in the film has a working slide and mechanism, so I think the batteries for the four (?) red LED lights on the sides are probably housed in the container below the barrel. and, if I am not mistaken, the front parts of the two long-ish pieces that sit on the non-sliding barrel cover seem to be plastic dowels.
Below are some screen grabs, though, unfortunately, they are not in the best quality.
