Looking for a graphic novel

hey i'm hoping someone can help , i read the synopsis of graphic novel a week or so ago and i really liked the sound of it but i can't remember what its called or the entire plot so here's what i remember

i think there was some sort of black out and after people got superpowers or something happened to them

don't know who published it either so

that ringing any bells with anyone

Could also be Americas Got Powers (but it is not a graphic novel, it is a 6 issue run) or even the start of the New Universe stuff from the 80's

I guess there are more of these types of stories out there.
