A couple of years ago there was a member in Iraq (Dr S ?) who posted that he had come across a cache of half a dozen (?) Sterlings in pristine condition, but that he had been tasked to destroy all of them.
Really sad, I think not just for us prop-collectors that they could never be converted, but wouldn't the security forces of the new democratic regime over there be in need of guns? :rolleyes

Thanks for the pics! Could be useful when weathering E-11s. :)

I believe it was Adamata that came across the weapons cache and mentioned it was slated for destruction.

Doc, I just came across about 10 feet of T track and a almost correct tank scope. I can send them and a Boba Debt scope rail with your next shipment of JW Black Label Mouth Wash...:love Clone helmet on it's way with a buncha jerky. Lemme see if I can find a decent stunt bucket for you to model!

BTW any you guys interested in sending poor Dr S. a RPFer Care package - email me at Jedirick1@aol.com and i can supply particulars. He could use some Raw sugar individual packets, probably ready for a good assortment of hot sauce, there is never enough beef jerky, etc if you wish to send him anything that may be considered "contraband' by Iraqi or US MC Brass standards, lemme know and i may be able to find a way...

we could always send him our prop E-11. then all he wouls have to do is put our t tracks and scopes on the sterlings turn in the bodies of ours and ship our modified ones back. ( insert evil laught ).

Yeah, it was me. And the Doc will not be allowed to take it back. It's a big No-No and a serious violation of UCMJ. Trust me, I tried. ;)

But, I hope he does get it home. There are ways....but the risks, to me, were not worth it.

nice find....im sure u will find a way to bring it back. just dont let it get destroyed....

somebody send him a bucket of resin and some silicone.
he can overmold it into a camel leg ashtray. that should make it back ok. :lol
john :cool

had a friend in Deset Storm who said some guys smuggled some things back in the gas tank of a unit truck. :rolleyes

Yes a serious violation of the UCMJ! Mods may want to delete this entire thread so it doesn't become evidence. I too speak from experience!

NUFF SAID! Delete!!!!! :confused
