I spent some time today and entered all my DVDs and Blu-rays into a database (481 as of now) and realized that the longest movie title in my collection is...

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford

The title is almost as long and drawn out as the film lol :lol

Is there one out there that beats this (Not including documentaries or training/health films)?

    58 characters including spaces

Morgan Spurlock's film "POM Wonderful Presents The Greatest Movie Ever Sold" should qualify for honorable mention...especially since Altoona, PA renamed themselves for a month after the title.

Don't be a menace to South Central while drinking your juice in the hood.

Though personally, I prefer the Englishman Who Went Up a Hill and Came Down a Mountain. I <3 that movie lol

I think film makers do this to mess with the guy who has to update the marquee board at the theaters. :lol

Why are people posting ones patently shorter than ones already posted in a "longest movie title ever" thread? :confused

Maybe they are the longest title in their collections? That's what my first post was.

    Yeah, no sweat.
I felt the thread was doomed as soon as someone (wink) used the google card so I decided to split the track with my first post.

OP, maybe add "in your collection" to the title to give the thread a little boost?

The Phantom Menace. The title isn't long, but the movie feels that way.

Since folks have already posted incredibly long titles already why not continue the fun?
I had a thought while looking at the title: The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. Are there any other film titles that basically sum up the entire plot and tell you the crucial plot point/twist?

My mother had the soundtrack to Can Heironymus Merkin Ever Forget Mercy Humppe and Find True Happiness?, that's a long title.
Titles that give away a bit include Eating Raoul and Penn and Teller Get Killed.
