Londo (Babylon 5) Hair

Trying to make a Londo Mollari from Babylon 5 cosplay. The hair is the issue, and I don't have much experience with wigs/hair. Any ideas on how to get Londo's "sideways mohawk"? Specifcially getting the hair to stand up straight and to be well anchored. Any tips appreciated!
