great work on your masks! now i have always wanted one of these masks, but i dont have much funding for one, however i am in art so i was thinking about using either clay or paper mache to do a rough mask, nothing screen acurate, just recognizable. any tips?

Hello everyone!
Last time I watched Mask movie to refresh memories from my childhood. I always wanted to have Loki Mask, but that was before Internet era. Now i tried to enter some key words in EBay and boom! There was whole bunch of masks! But i don't know which one is the best. The cheapest is for 27 dollars, unfortunately i have to pay this price too for shipping to my country (Poland), so it is 54 in total. So what do you think? It is a good deal?

I wouldnt recommend buying that particular mask because it isnt exactly accurate.
Its a whole different shape and from a different mould...
But if you were to purchase that Mask, get it in GREEN it's much more accurate than that brown and gold... i wonder where they got that idea from :S
Anyway if i see a more accurate on i will let you know

Well, thanks for response. I was doing research on Ebay for a month and the first mask that pay my attention was that from Golden Armor. It looks amazingly accurate, but price is stunning. 115 bucks for finished mask. Either way color pattern looks weird. On his video it looks ok, but on other photos it's oddly striped. Another mask recommended by many was that from seller Reelart. Overall design is awesome, but it is raw mask, without painting. Even though it costs 66 dollars. Then i saw that "cheapy" mask in low price, so i think i might give it a chance. I wonder how measures real mask compare to this. There is no difference for me if I choose brown or green, i will give to my friend, who has great skills in customing.

DO NOT mention the name 'golden armor' on this board... trust me haha.
The ReelArt mask was my first ever Mask and the one i had was perfect although his most recent version has an EXTREMELY large chin that is very ugly looking!
But the Mask you linked in your first post actually looks nice in green, just because it isnt accurate, doesnt mean it isnt nice looking!
Actually the Mask KIT you posted is the one i was going to reccomend for you. THAT is the real shape of the Loki Mask! And my mask too is missing the 'L' symbol but so were some of the screen used props. Plus, it gives you the oppurtunity to paint the mask yourself, so you will never be dissatisfied with the colour!

So now I'm stuck. Both auctions ends at the same day (10 hours between them) and both are very great deals. I have little time to make decision. But i think i will buy this unaccurate mask, because someone already bid this kit, so i think that price will grow fast.
I'm a proud owner of an authentic ICONS Loki Mask - #5 of 5000, though I believe ICONS never made the full run.
Originally purchased directly from ICONS back in thier hayday - waited nearly six months for it to arrive, but was worth it. It was my very first official replica prop and it has a lot of sentimental value to me.
Pictured below with a framed photograph taken from the official press kit and the press kit folder displayed on the opposite side.
Display case cover not pictured as I was having it cleaned at the time.

Im really jealous of that display...i hate you..
But like i said if you go for the first Mask, make sure you get it in the various green colours because the loki mask isnt a solid brown, let alone gold...
It's a very nice mask none the less.

I was still in high school when I got this - working part time and making payments just to afford it. I waited for a very long time for it - I don't know what I would have done if ICONS would have ripped me off.

I remember seeing an original Loki mask at Planet Hollywood NY way back in 1998.
The only thing I think ICONS did not do accurately was the topcoat, which looks like a semi-gloss. The ICONS mask is flat.

I've seen some ICONS masks that have a very glossy finish and some flat like yours.
I prefer them to be less glossy as it makes it look more like old wood, but some props in the movie were glossy and some were not, so i guess we will never see "accurate"

Well, mask is ordered, now I have to wait "only" 16 days to come. Thanks for advise. By the way, i found 2 other interestings mask:

Both of those masks are exactly the same as eath other and as the one you bought! Just differently painted.
My mask i bourght from eBay and originallly it had a bluey/turquoisey paint job and i didnt like it so i painted it accuratly my self.
