Loki Costume - Thor Movie Version- Pic Heavy - Finished

Well, I guess it's time I share with those on the RPF my finished build of my Loki costume based on the outfit worn on the Thor film. This costume was actually put together in a rush ( about 1 month ) just in time to be in the Fiesta Bowl parade here in Arizona.

You'll have to forgive me as I do not know who made this pep file but it was found on 4shared and was the basic inspiration to get started on the costume.

I pepped the basic helmet and chose to work on the horns at a later time:

I then planned out the body armor and also the fabric parts:

The armor template was transfered onto 3mm sintra and cut out, shaped, glued and eventually painted to where it started to resemble the 8 inch figure i had purchased as a reference.

In addition, I also started working on the forearm armor using the same 3mm sintra

As well as the shoulder and thigh pieces

After fiberglassing the helmet I started to shape it with bondo

In between sessions of bondo, shaping and sanding, I upholstered the thighs and worked on other parts as well.

As I only had a month, to have this completed, I had to go with the artistic freedom to make this not 100% accurate, but such as I would still be happy with the end result.

I did however get to a point where i felt it was well enough to move onto paint and such.

After some paint and a few details to the chest plate, it started to look good to me.

Finally it was time to put it all together... almost. still was missing a few things here and there:

This being the end product... I'm quite happy with how it turned out but now with a more accurate helmet file floating out there.. I may start that one soon.

Looking to do this costume....the "braided" look of the leather is beautiful and somewhat daunting to do, but looking to see if anyone else has done this.
I think I can do the work just gotta get started patterning.

Although this photo was taken prior to the helmet update and construction of the Odin Spear, it all looks great.
