Logan's Run Prop - Unique FOLLOWER = Sandman Self Defense Backup (normal size) as well as a mini pocket size version

Of course after designing and 3D printing 3 different variations of the Logan's Run Flame Pistol
(Rubberband Shooter with LED's, Water Pistol - Squirt Gun as well as a Working Flame Shooter Particle Cannon)
I had to create my own version of the Sandman FOLLOWER used for tracking runners.
Since the prop seems so large, I thought maybe there where other "internal features" that were not seen or used in
the script during the making of the movie.
.
Many of the Follower replicas are just the basic version with the lighted upper scanning dome and using back-lit image slide's for the screen.
The movie version used an added piece that would slide over the face and show an image on the screen but was only used during the close
up shots.
Any other time is was just the standard basic version without the added slide holder (even within the same scene).
.
There are also fan made versions that have a working video playback feature for the screen as well as sound effects.
.
So, being who I am, I thought I would take a little time to make my own 3D printed representation / interpretation with features that seem to be needed, but were not seen.
.
Side Note:
I will be adding light and electronics to my final version, but have not designed the internal layout at this point in time.

Well, I had a few minutes to mock-up some of the added electronics I plan to put in my version of the Logan's Run Follower:
.
During the movie, one of the Sandmen was attacked by a CUB and had no other means of defense against the attack.
So, I thought it would have been nice to have another defensive weapon for just such an event.
Please note: This is a prop showing "proof of concept" and for display purposes only and not to be used for defensive encounters.

I 3D printed the removable top Scanning dome portion of my Follower in white PLA and it does attach and detach quickly using 2 magnets.
.
My costume is more of a quick, low budget version of what is seen and the belt still needs to be made.
The gray stripe portion does not have the cross-hatch feature but I think it will serve it's purpose "as -is" at a con.
.
Belt detail:
I will be using 3/8" surgical tubing to make the three rows of piping and held together with 2" belt material.

I've been working on my basic design of the FOLLOWER as well as how I am going to hang it on my belt.
I am currently working to make my own belt using 2" webbed belt strap and 3/8" surgical tubing to make the
three rows of black piping.
.
The FOLLOWER is normally worn "face in" and needs a way to be mounted on the belt without the use of Velcro.
Since a portion of the Velcro would have to be permanently attached to the face of the FOLLOWER (to have a way to
hang it), this seemed to me to be a bit tacky, so I am going a different route.

Since I have the technology (ENDER 3 - 3D printers), I thought I would again create something a bit different then the usual
3D printed Sandman Pistol that you see the most and my unique version of the Sandman "self defense back up FOLLOWER" shown in this thread.
.
This time I wanted to make something that was a bit more useful in the "real" world and still keeping with the
Logan's Run Movie theme and fan base.
.
.
This is a great way to show interest in Logan's Run, without the cosplay. :)
