Just want to guage opinion on this.
Bought Liquid Latex to take a mould of my mask - I may go down the Resin route later on but purely down to cost.
I'll follow what I've learned online and apply layer upon layer of latex until thick enough to create a mould and then cover with plaster to make a cradle for it. I've read loads on various sites but I'm getting conflicting advice.
Should or shouldn't I give my mask a coat of vaseline to stop the iquid latex sticking to the mask? Some sites say yes, others say it's not needed. I understand why you would use talcum powder on the outside of the mould to stop it sticking together but on the surface in contact with the mask I'm unsure which option to go for.
The mask is standard bodyfiller/milliput but there are bits underneath that are plasticine and backer rod. Will latex lift straight off all these surfaces?
Don't want to press ahead and find the latex is sticking to some bits.
Again, any pointers/tips would be greatly appreciated.
