Hye guys, wanted to share some pictures of my cosplay, it's not really finished. I kinda would like to have a good chainmail, but not a real one, it would be too heavy haha. If some of you or good with their hands i would love to hear what new prop you would consider me to have next (or eventually help me to have them hehe!) I didn't take complete pictures of myself yet, because i assume my link cosplay is not really done haha

Here some pictures then :)!

This looks VERY promising! Keep up to that standard and your costume will be outstanding. Looking forward to see where this is going!

Yay! Legend of Zelda!
You don't have to have a full chain mail. Just a 2.5 cm (1 inch) trim around the collar, shirt bottom, and shoulders sewn to the costume.

Yeah I was thinking about this! But I'm just not sure how to make one! :x

If you just google 'how to make chainmail' a wikihow article pops up that really makes it simple for you. It's the first link. I was going to use it for my Link costume but went a different route (which ended up looking horrible).

thanks!

OMG, it will take ages to make a chainmail then XD

It takes a bit to get the hang of the stitch, but once you do, it's not hard at all, and it's great to work on it in front of the TV. And, the larger size ring you use, the faster it goes. Also, aluminum doesn't weigh much at all. I am making a large skirt out of aluminum and it's about half done and only 4 lbs. A shirt would probably weigh less than that!

How to make a chainmail shirt

And like Alpha Proto said, you could just make the sleeves, collar, and maybe a hem and stitch it onto a base shirt instead of making the whole thing. :)

Yeah, like everyone else said... it looks awesome! That shield is sooo shiny, almost iridescent.
