Can't speak to the movie (never saw it) but in the poem --

And the raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting
On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door;
And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming,
And the lamp-light o'er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor;
And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor
Shall be lifted - nevermore.

Pallas is --

I'm pretty sure it's a bust of Pallas Athena.

If you look for "Pallas bust", you'll find a number of Athena busts with a war helmet ****** above her head.

It is Pallas Athena. They even used a similar one in the Simpson's homage.

Quoth the raven, "Eat my shorts."
