Lightsaber Blueprints

Is there a reliable site for finding saber blue prints similiar to the ones I have seen Darthsaber provide in the past? I have been looking but all I seem to come across is dead links. Basically I am just looking for some dimensions for certain sabers.

There was another Japanese site that I'm looking for that had .jp in its site name. It had the updated DARTH SABER blueprints such as the 7-grip Vader ANH. Could someone help me find it again? Thanks.

I'm trying to find the Darth Saber prints from the .jp site as well--I lost the site name somehow.

Doesn't that just SUCK! I mean you spend all this time looking for it and you can't think of the name and search engines turn up nothing.... I had the page saved to my favorites on another computer, but that one's power socket is shorted and is gonna get replaced soon and then on top of that I have to get a bug in the system repaired cuz I turned it off while backing up some pictures and songs because it froze up and now I get the blue screen of death. I'm pretty sure the OS CD can repair it... but with the power cord socket being out of commision atm I dont have enough time for the repair program to run so I'll have to wait until the part is fixed.... whenever that happens :(

So just hang in there guys.... I'll get the link soon enough.

I have almost every single lightsaber blueprint site saved in my bookmark, but when I checked them out just now most of them are either down, or my PC would block them for virus/malware alert.

Good thing is I have almost every lightsaber blueprint saved on my hard disc, so send me a PM and let me know what you're looking for, and your email address, and I'll shoot them over.

I must advise against making anything with any blueprint you found on the net though, unless you can verify its absolutely accurate. My first machined saber came out waaaay off the mark because I trusted a blueprint sent to me and remarked as accurate. That was a reeeally expensive lesson.

So just how accurate are the blueprints on the first link in this thread then ?
Are they usable ?

Those looks like the same layout and format as the blueprint I used to make my 1st Luke/OBW shared stunt, and it turned out to be groosly inaccurate. Unless those blueprints have been updated recently, I wouldn't use them.

There're really only 3 blueprint there that's sort of useful; The ANH OBW, The Luke ROTJ Hero, And the Luke ROTJ Stunt. The rest of the sabers are made of found parts so unless you're a glutton for punishment you would just buy the part and convert it instead of making it from scratch. A quick check with my caliper shows that the Yoda, Luke Graflex and Vader MPP blueprints are rather accurate, with a tolerance of +- 0.5 to 1mm.

Thanks although you have me confused you say you used those plans to make your Obi/Luke Saber and it was way off accurate then go on to say the plans are usefull ? :confused

Sorry let me rephrase that.

Out of the lot, only those 3 (ANH OBW, The Luke ROTJ Hero, And the Luke ROTJ Stunt) are of any use if you want to machine your own saber (presuming they're accurate).

But kudos to whoever that drew all of them, because its no small feat.

I hope that clarifies.

so are there accurate plans available other than the first links posted? i've searched high and low on the board and saw a lot of cool rotj v2 & v3's but no dimensions whatsoever.

is this a closely guarded secret or what?

i'm in the middle of making a luke rotj with the plans on that japanese site but i'm wary to continue since i'm cutting down 2" stock on my mini-lathe and it's a lot of work and i'm kind of sick of all the hot chips burning the crap out of me. i don't actually mind but i don't want to spend all that time making something possibly inaccurate.

Does anyone have a link to blueprints for a Luke v2? I think accurate or not these prints in a frame next to a machined replica would be a neat display tactic.

The prints of the machined sabers (not the flashgun sabers) are not as accurate as they could be. Those prints were made some 5 years ago and new discoveries have been made since.
