Lifesize Han in Carbonite coming from Sideshow

I just saw it today. Would love to know what they'll charge on it. I got my Illusive version years ago for like $800 shipped. Amazed to see just front panel castings go for not much less now.

It wouldn't be a complicated piece for SS to do the shells, unlike the R2 and 3PO, but it would be a lot of fiberglass., the panels would be detailed and if they kick in electronics (isn't that a must?), then that would bump up the price.

I'd say $3,500 minimum up to $6,000. But I'm guessing it will be right about $5,000.

The good thing for people who don't have a HIC would be there may be a few nice unlicensed ones that may be had for good deals when some people decide to trade up.

Yeah, anxious to see the detailing, background specs, and all the details on the panels. If this thing lights up, pulses and has sound effects, I very may have to sell a vital organ.

There were guys who spoke to Sideshow at SDCC and the price could be around $7000 :wacko

The HIC has long been a goal of mine -- but no way can I do $7000, unless it came with a thaw feature and Harrison Ford dropped out of it

That would devalue it, surely? I don't want a grumpy old dude hanging around drinking my beers, eating my bread and refusing to watch Star Wars. If Sideshow are including a Harrison Ford thaw feature, I'm out! ;)

Are there any pics of this that can be posted here? Sideshow's website never, ever works for me... :unsure

There are some pictures over at Rebelscum I believe. I think it sucks. There is so much detail loss compared to the original prop or even a good IC panel. And while they appear to be going for the ESB style, the box is not angled but instead appears to be straight like the ROTJ block.

Thanks for the info. :):thumbsup

The piece at SDCC was just a placeholder according to SSC. I think it did more harm than good, but there you have it.

well, I just built one and I have seen others look better than what they took to SDCC. I think anything over 2500. is toooo much money.

Here's the HIC that Kotobukiya was using to promote the HIC ice cube trays at this year's Comic Con.

Regardless of how it looks, it will be out of the pricerange of the average joe, so what's the point? :unsure

Xenocon- thanks for those photos on facebook. I have the Illusive Concepts version and noticed that the sideshow version in your photos shows the same modifications to the hands as the ic version- not to mention the same undesirable high gloss finish. I am wondering if sideshow didnt just mount an ic in a new box and call it a prototype. There are no improvements to the carbonite sculpt at all. In fact, my ic has more detail.
