I forget what the active auction listing policy is on current auctions, but at over 150k and multiples available, dunno how many of us are going to get into a bidding war over these:

Custom Built Tron Motorcycles

If the link is down, do an auction search for:

2010 Custom Built Motorcycles Pro Street LightCycle

Umm... there are no pictures of what you will be getting...

Those are the promo shots.

How can they garauntee that they will be 100% accurate AND everyday road-worthy if they haven't even made one yet? The Bat-pod looks cool but not 100% accurate.

There are different options. The 150k is for 1300cc motor with nitrous all carbon fiber body and neon throughout. They start at 50k... but without seeing a prototype? That is a bit steep! If I had it to spend, KNEW it was 100% accurate, AND I could use it as a daily driver... I would be all over this! LOL!

The auction is for an as yet non existent bike. They state that Disney built the prop. I would like to see at least something they started for this. I guess if you have 150k for this then maybe you get more info than lookie-loos ( I have no idea how to spell that). Still, seems like alot of faith is needed. How do you steer it? I also like that the helmet isn't for safety. I question the feasibility of a street legal lightcycle, especially with all the baracades it's going to be leaving everywhere it goes.:confused

I'm local in Melbourne, these guys were in the local paper concerning opening their shop a few weeks ago. They have built a working Batpod, photos in the article.

Might drive by the shop and take a look once these lightcycles are produced.

actually it says that they start at 35grand... that's not really that steep.
from the listing.
"Please note, these bikes are offered starting at 35,000 , which is a standard Lightcycle including either a gas powered or an high output electric motor as well as a complete carbon fiber/fiberglass body and led neons throughout. "

still i agree. without seeing one produced it seems ridiculous.

The engineering for the hub-less steering would be noting less than monumental. Im a little skeptical without a prototype.
