This is a "life-size" replica of the wee raygun that came with Lego space kits. The gun is 3D printed . The removable neon translucent tip was cast in translucent resin to perfectly match its wee counterpart. By my math, it's a 1:16 replica of the original. Building this really made me appreciate the designers of the tiny original. It's a really elegant design. And it packs a wallop.

I understand it is now possible to 3D print glass. That might allow a good red emitter. I think some bath product caps are about as wide.

Perchance. I have molds and have sold a number of these before the LEGO lawyers kicked me off Etsy.

Hey guys, I can certainly cast up a set for you as a "kit" ... Here's a peek at the molds and the parts I create. It's a big process including pressure casting the clear-tinted resin. Price would be $250 shipped int he US ... PM me if interested.
