Lex's balls of doom! (aka smallville self detruct orb)

I got these in today, and snapped some quick pics. They came out amazingly cool!. I don't know which one I like more, the 8cm or the 10cm.

Haven't gotten the base built yet, but man these things shine like crazy in the sun!

Heavy suckers too, I am going to have to scrap my original plan and make something a little more reinforced. I really don't want one of these tumbling down to the ground and landing on my foot.

Yea, I am going to be comparing screencaps and trying to figure out how tiny rosenbaum's hand is compared to mine. I agree that the smaller one is cooler looking though. It lights up a lot easier as well heh.

Pumpernickel - they are made from purple crystal, but no run of them is going to be offered. Replicaprops has the license for making Smallville props (plus he's a good bud of mine), so these are the only ones that will be made by me.

takevin - It was hard work, but I managed to get lex's balls near perfect :lol. The only downside is that I have to get rid of one, and I dunno if I need to keep the big one or the little one :lol

Appreciate the replies guys. This is a pretty sweet piece for a "throwaway" prop that showed up once. I kinda wish they had gotten a better prop budget for this new season, but it looks like the only real new piece is the fortress crystal.

I might take a crack at making one of these in black, but that depends on Rob offering up the little insert for it

Hydin, why make them out of crystal? They look amazing that way, but the the prop looked like an anodized metal or even purple metallic paint on a resin prop.

I wish you were offering these, but I understand your reasons.

Yea, the inactive one would be easy to do, except that cutout at the bottom wouldn't be possible. I am tempted to get it made out of black crystal since it stays black until you actually see Lex in the fortress....

Man, I printed out a key file with the width set to 10", and MR has a tiny hand. That or I have giant man hands, I dunno.

CAN'T DECIDE WHAT SHINY THING TO KEEP... meh, I've had worse problems :lol
