Hi,

I believe that I speak for many people when I say that one of my favorite types of threads on this forum is the Graflex thread. It's always fun to see how many people have built one of these iconic lightsabers for themselves, and to see what twists or additions they've made to the design, or how faithful they've stayed to the original.

I'll start us off with my recently completed Screen Accurate Luke ANH, with original vintage Graflex flash gun and Exactra bubble strip.

I also added a crystal chamber...

So this is what I ended up with, in my real parts Luke ANH saber.

Let's see your Graflex-based lightsabers!

I don't have anything to show off but wanted to chime in and say how impressive your sabers are! You can tell how much pride and effort you put into it!
Well done!

Not Graflex based but shows off my own chassis design with crystal chamber.

Huh...interesting. I always thought that the Dagobah saber had a glass eye. Guess not. :lol

These sabers look awesome wishing i had money right now loads of props i see i want this is becoming an expensive hobby...

Adding internals does not need to cost a lot. It can simply be a battery, switch, and some LEDs. To add sound and LED effects, Master Replica, Ultrasound, Hyperdyne, or Crystal Focus cards are used. But you have to have available space inside to add all the internals.

LED, battery, and switch usually run less than $15.

Here is my not so screen accurate ANH inspired saber.
All my custom sabers have got a bit of weathering on them and my hands are really small so i adjusted the t-track grips to suite me better and did some weathering on them. I also added a custom piece of circuit board while i keep searching for a suitable replacement.
It isn't a perfect piece but it uses a real graflex 3-cell flashgun.
