Leno

It's just satire guys, he's a comedian.

I can't believe some of the comments in this thread.

Some of you need to get a sense of humor. Really. Wow.

I thought it was hilarious.

just find it hard to believe that some people took him literally.

Like our local news, entertainment tonight, etc etc did stories on it saying it was fake and how they interviewed people who thought it was real...haha..

I posted photos so people could see what car he had on tv.

Very sad last episode..on nbc that is...wonder where he will go next :cry

What a class act.
Where I am a bit young to have watched Carson, I pretty much watched Conan from the begining (sad, I know). So this, to me really is the end of an era.

Gotta say it's the height of irony here.

NBC screwed the pooch BIG TIME, made everyone look bad when no one else had squat to do with it - and the only guy to come out better off than he was (blew way past 'smelling like a rose') was Conan. He got 45M, GAVE 12M to his staff (just holy #%^**^& on that alone), and is hotter than he's ever been. And, to top it off, when out with total class.

To be honest, i was never a big conan fan, but I am one now.

I just caught the bugatti clip a few minutes ago, and my god that was priceless! Regardless of that price, seeing THAT car with whiskers and mouse ears was comic genius! :)

I've always been a Conan fan, I teared up as he gave his farewell speech, just a class act all around. I hope Fox throws more money than God at him, to give him his own show, and that in the fall he comes in and Slaughters Leno and Letterman, because I can't stand Either of them at this point.

Am I the only one that really doesn't feel sympathy for the guy?

I mean people lose there job everyday and they can't even afford to put food on their tables let alone a roof over their head...

But, Conan gets the pink slip and a $45 million we are sorry check, and will probably land a new multi-million dollar job in less then 30 days... Sorry but I'm not feeling sorry... He got a raw deal but I'm sure with the $45 million apology most anyone could lick their wounds goodbye...

+1

It just shows what kind of integrity this guy when he gets to say whatever he wants about the network during his last show, and all he says is thank you to them for the opportunities they've given him.

I'm sure he'll land on his feet somewhere, 'just looking forward to seeing where.

No one feels sympathy because he lost his job. In fact, he himself wrote a letter to the public flatly telling the people to NOT feel sorry for him.

People are sympathetic because the guy lost his job, they're sympathetic because NBC screwed him over publicly, tried to make it out to be his fault, and cost him the job he dreamed of most of his life. There is a difference there.

Yes, he had MADE enough money prior to heading to TTS to live the life of luxury the rest of his days. 33M more isn't going to make a huge difference to him i wouldn't think. Losing this job won't cost him anything but a dream. Nothing wrong for feeling for a guy for having his dream ripped from him in the national spotlight.

People have expressed financial sympathy for his staff - people making what probably the average LA resident makes and of whom most moved from NYC to stay employed with him. I don't know how many people make up 'the staff', but he GAVE them 12M out of his own pocket.

People gained a lot of respect for the guy the way he handled the situation start to finish and they way he took care of his people in the end. Yes, he'll likely get a show at another network come fall and make tons more money. The money isn't the issue here, it's how he was treated by the company that employed him 20+ years and forced his move to TTS 5-6 years ago.
