Lego Alien Defense Unit costume

Hello everyone!

seeing as my HEV suit project has stalled abit..

I thought i would start a new project-the Alien Defense Unit costume from Lego's Alien Conquest theme.

There isnt enough turquoise on this site is there? :love

So goodies so far received...

a suitably turquoise/bluey(real word) wetsuit..not an *exact* match colour wise...but thats ok by me.

Two pouches (for the thighs)i plan on fabric painting these dark blue.
These were purchased from ebay.

One pair of Motocross boots,again from ebay.
These will be spray painted to match the suit hopefully!

A canvas belt with a brushed silver buckle..not to sure about this as yet,i will need to paint or dye it the right shade of grey.

For the chest and back armour i was thinking i might use foam,plasti -dipped and spray painted dark blue/black.

For the helmet you could modify a rally car helmet a bit, and put in a custom made visor.

Update!

I have scaled up the ADU torso and printed it out..hopefully to use this as template for the foam body armour.
What do you think? about the right size?

A small update!
I have purchased a few items from ebay..
Horse riding protector.

With a little painting and faffing about this should work nicely
ONE INDUSTRIES ARMADA MOTOCROSS ENDURO GLOVES

Elbow and knee pads too...


I think I will paint these either the blue of the main suit or grey...as yet I am undecided.
