I have a '97 hard PVC/vinyl Don Post Stormtrooper helmet. Yes, I know it's horribly innacurate, yes I know it's a piece of crap, and yes I know it's probably not worth saving. However, until I can save up the dough to buy an accurate lid kid, I'd like to spit shine this puppy up to display on a shelf with some other props.
Here's my dillema. There is a crack, it got a bit smooshed, and the lenses and decals are gone.
What's the best way to repair the crack? I'm thinking of hitting it with CA glue and reenforcing it from behind with some epoxy glue.
I know how to reshape it (hot water, bend, cold water).
Where can i get replacement lenses and decals?
Also, are there any other tips or ideas anyone can coe up with to make this look semi-pretty? I already tore off the grey foam circles and am constructing some proper ear pieces out of styrene.
