LCARS Periodic Table of Elements

This is my first real post here, other than commenting a few times on others (hi mom!). I am really astounded by what I've seen and I wish I had the time as to hone any latent abilities I might possibly have... This stuff blows me away.

Okay, to get to my post:

Some time back I finished up, save for any suggestions I might get here, a non-canon but scientifically accurate LCARS Periodic Table of Elements in AI.

I've printed a few before, but this will be the first time I have seriously done so - I am going to be outputting it and mounting it behind smoked plexi (and hoping it turns out half as well as Joe's did - we'll see).

Although not too difficult, resizing over and over to make sure I got the lettering in that itty bitty... button was, to say the least, a pain.

What do you think? Suggestions?

Thanks :) and sure - what res do you want it at?

And no, it's 100% accurate, as far as I can tell. But I may go ahead and add Roddenberrium...

Great work! My only suggestion might be to separate the "poor metals" into "other metals" and "metalloids" or "semimetals"--like here, for example.

Can you put the order and the atomic weight like the normal PTE?
I don't think that this will ever change in the 24th century.... ;)

It's very cool!

Here's the Roddenmberrium, although it has yet to be added...

I'll look into dividing the "poor metals" into "other metals" and "metalloids" or "semimetals."

I did not make the order and the atomic weight like a normal PTE because I wanted a bit more info on the buttons and on the table (if I'm reading your question correctly...).

I like it! Thank you for posting the link to the image... I'm using it as my desktop right now.

Fantastic job and welcome to the board!
Thanks for posting the pt, it is very much appreciated.
Later, Petseal

Thanks! I would still like an even higher rez for my big screen but I am happy with what you have provided.

Thanks again!!

Okay, I have updated the table with Roddenberrium (see updated first pic above) and will be doing a test run of several prints to see how they come out. I am going for 12" x 20" in size with smoked plexi to follow. I'll update as soon as they come out - Wednesday or so.

Thanks all.

I will be getting my table Friday and my smoked plexi next week. Can't wait to post pics! :lol

I got the tables! :) I apologize for the dust on the panel and the washed out look but that darn flash... Next week I should have the smoked plexi.

This is really sweet. I am looking forward to a highrez that can be printed out and can be read. If you need sever space to host the file I will be happy to help out with that. I have been hosting other's files for years for props.
