Latest remake: Fright Night

The problem is that the original was a love letter to Hammer films. I'm sure the original will have none of the charm that made the first one endearing.

Man I still remember that lady with the huge vampire mouth.... :confused

Mouth almost covered her whole face!

WHAT!!!!! OMG they are raping my childhood. How can they even look at this film and consider spoiling it with their filth. Creativity is dead...blah..blah.. blah..Lucas...blah...blah blah..Bay...grumble, grumble. grumble...money... hungry... grumble, grumble... rape (again)...

Here's how it works now.

Producer 1: "Hey, I was surfing Netflix, and they've got this category devoted to 80s films. You should check it out."

Producer 2: "Check it out? Are you kidding?! Greenlight remakes on ALL of these films immediately!!!"

Producer 1: "What? But we haven't even received proposals on even half of them yet!"

Producer 2: "Doesn't matter. We can massage any script we've received over the last 6 months into a remake of any of these. Put a team on it. We'll be rich, rich, RICH, I tell you!!!"

Producer 1: "You know..you're right! Those poor suckers in the general public will pay to see ANYTHING if we call it a remake and do a marginally decent ad campaign before releasing it!"

Producers 1 and 2 laugh all the way to the bank, then go home to sleep on piles of money surrounded by beautiful women.

Wasn't it the same actress who played Marcy Darcy on Married With Children?

Dunno...but found the pic!!!

:confused

I really enjoyed the original.

I hope this turns out to be at least watchable.

Chekov as Charlie and McLovin as Evil Ed... :confused

so Peter Vincent is only 40 yrs old this time around??? Doh!

Yes. You see, instead of being an actor that made vampire movies in the 60's, he'll have to be an actor that made vampire movies in the 90's. Like... :confused ummm... Interview with a Vampire :confused and ummm... John Carpenter's Vampires :confused... those are the only two I can think of.

Wait! There's Bram Stoker's Dracula.

He's going to wear a leather jacket and talk like Keanu Reeves.

Man, this is gonna suck.

Hope this doesn't mean that Christopher Mintz-Plasse is going to go the way of Stephen Geoffreys. Kind of sad that he spent the rest of his career working in gay porn. He really had some promise as a young actor.

Details according to UHM... though I'm not sure where they got their info

The obvious remake of the classic 1985 Tom Holland film.
