Thanks for the annotated pics. If you guys can do any other quicks ones like this it will be a real help for me when I go back through the thread to update the main maps. I'm hoovering them off into a folder.

I think its safe to say the McLaren is THE major donor kit on the Falcon!

And that extra engine deck M23 stuff I mentioned.

Iv'e seen at least 5 or 6 versions of the hanomag by Esci. When I get this rocket launcher version, yeah, it will be interesting to see if it is indeed the donor for the the turret details & the chassis rail for the rear end.
I'm picking the kits will all have a common sprue for the main chassis.

Okay, got ladder truck and CB750 Racing tonight. Woohoo, can confirm, ALF Ladder Chief also has correct chassis parts.

Bit tricky to scan, but pics coming up.

Looks like there may be a fair bit more. Suspect there is more we haven't found in the CB750 kit too. Out of time, got to go do some more packing at my mum's place.

Awesome windscreen find! Those bigger pieces really help to nail the proportion of each section of the ship.

I just popped my Sealab cherry and am pretty excited about that. Will be trying my hand at casting in the coming days, too...

BTW, Stu, looking at the turrets more - there's an M23 piece on the front of the lower turret which should really nail the height exactly.

Also, bits of 251 rockets all over the sides, AND on top. I hadn't noticed all the rocket warheads with bodies removed too. You've gotta be right about that kit.

Nice going Martyn. I knew that kit was going to dish up some other parts. Good to know there's an alternative kit too.

Heh, I did finally sod off to Mum's place - it's a 15 mile hike from here - at about 10:30 last night. Felt better for getting some stuff done though.

Hey, the Ladder Chief rails are 382mm long. Anyone wanna scale that against the top view pic? I did, and got...exactly what I already had, dun dun duuuuun. 67.75" - would love it if anyone can confirm?

Watch out as the rails have a little 'tail' in towards the dish end.

Yet another pair of these M23 plate parts - one on each side of the Jagdpanther hull. Found another piece in this vicinity too, but need to confirm. A biggie I've been after for ages.

And the Nichimo tank part:angry. I've got the Hurricane bit on the Kettenkrad but I used it on the revisited wing of my X-Wing kit:cry

Just waitin on the messer. Should be here early next week. I need the elefant at the mo. I have started a mockup of the mandibles. I cut some two inch thick polystyrene sheets. Need to cut the sherriden and waiting on some 312 sprues and then we are pretty close to having the inside walls, theupper and lower jaw and the throat finished..... Almost. Got about half the parts for the outside mandible walls.. Still lookin though. Then it's into finishing the pits.

Is it me or is tracking down a Nichimo 1/35 Elefant really hard!? I've since spotted a few have been sold on Ebay while I had been looking but they had never showed up in my searches for some reason. Really annoying. Do you guys have any leads on a source other than just trawling through?

Ok just a quick note to let everyone here know i'm out. not gonna be building this bird anytime soon. The main reason being i am not getting any work done on anything else. I have been busy buying kits for this when i should have spent the money on the kits i need for the Turbo Laser. I really want to get that turbo laser built and kitted so i'm concentrating on that from now on. I've also got about 15 ss kits sittin in boxes so i'm gonna spend the next 12 months finishing those and the TL. I'll be selling all the kits i have for the falcon and will let you know when i have a complete list. also the molds i have made so far.

I'll be watching though and will help out with id's where i can. keep up the good work..
