Large scale Millennium Falcon Kit ID's**New Maps at start of thread**

Thank you so much faustas100 , brilliant seeing it out from under the other pieces, I love the way the 8rad piece covered the square holes , I wonder did that dictate the spacing for them all. I wonder were the layout of pieces were organic as they fit them , I hope so considering the short time they had to build it compared to the rebel blockade runner

Glad I could help. Just remember that everything on that deck is not even. Probably because they had to rush like you mentioned. I had to do mine twice!

The good news is that the bottom one is pretty easy in comparison

Wow Faustus , amazing work, it's not obvious it's uneven unless you study it hard, do you feel it looks more correct matching the model rather than when it was straight ? (I know for me having symmetry helps when judging where to site items )
even wrong it looks sooooooo right ;)

It's not off by much actually. The only problem is that you only really notice it when your building it lol. So many greeblies at least 200 if I remember correctly, maybe more.(and layered!) It can get a little confusing. I found it was best to walk away a few times and then start over fresh the next day or so.

Your shot of the lower assembly is the first time I have seen this clearly , wow , it's unique as well, I thought it was just damper assemblies , I didn't realise it also has kettenkrad details ,
your work is stunning , thanks for sharing

To follow up on the help I received here, here are shots of the red box airfix 1:24 scale hurricane I picked up today half price. This looks close enough to me to use.

Hi friends,
I hope you are well and that your editing progress.
I have two quick questions , because I block a bit to my beginnings :/
What is the differences between :
8'0 '' and 8 ''? in metric system.
second question, concerning the radar dish .
I have a "plan" (a picture I had posted here by the way) on it,
the base of the radar base is 4'00 '' ...
but I 'm not sure of that by the different post on the forum, because there is not indicated in diameter ...
Do you have an idea ?

8'0" is 8 feet, 0 inches. 8" is 8 inches. 8'0" = 2,438.4 mm; 8" = 203.2 mm. I believe the diagram is full size measurements, not scale measurements. In full size, 8 feet looks about right for the dish. 1 inch = 25.4 mm.

Oh thank you!
So this explains it ^^
I will see to convert scale studio ... lol not win it all!
Thank you very much for your lights !!! :)
Do you have an idea for the diameter of the base of the radar dish , by chance ?

Hi Faustus ,
I was just saying that I confirmed to the party from the rotary engine. :)
Very Beautiful assembly !!!
I will mail an MP .

My minicraft catalog from 1977 lists #728 Anzio Annie rail gun and #732 Thor (Morser) 60 cm rail mortar as being available .

The squadron mail order catalogue from spring 1976 (no. 10) lists only 728 Anzio Annie as being new from Haegawa. No mention is made of Thor.

From the above I would speculate that the Haseqawa Thor (Morser) was released
happy new year 5 foot builders,I have been reviewing the thread from the beginning to renew my enthusiasm to kick off the actual 5 foot build (also by stating this I have to actually do something about it) a quick confirmation , are all the above kits 1:72 scale ?

Almost the same question:

in MF025 1.1 the number 2 ESCI SD Kfz 251 is at 1/76 scale, but I only can find this kit at 1/72, is this a typo?

Hi motionminted,
I think it's an error, but old scale was 1/76.
the matchbox hanomag sd.kfz 251/1 is 1/76
I've got the german hanomag Sd.kfz 251.1 by ESCI, scale is 1/72 :)
But, I can not find the right piece in the box ESCI ...So 2 solutions:
Error model on the 25 1.1 or recast mold ....
I'm going try the ESCI SD KFZ 251/51 Rocket Launcher ...
