My thanks go out to AntCarb and his team for designing & building this armor, what an awesome job and amazing detail!

Bio, teeth necklace, torso armor with backpack, spine armor, shoulder cannon, and knife scabbard, shoulder armors, blade and countdown gaunts, waist front, back, and thigh armors, shinguards, and toedusters, all superb work

Thanks to Bovine13 for designing and making the facehugger dread rings, every little detail is there!
And thanks for the dreadfalls :p

And my thanks to Dakath for designing and making the feet, they're just right

The feet, dreadrings, and bio needed painting; the latter two to match the color scheme of the armor, which came already painted.

I used same skin (Bal Togs bodysuit), hands (ebay), mask (Pirk Elder from Silverado) w/ dreads (Bambooie) as before.

Also needed a way to hold it all together, the torso pieces, spine armor, shoulder cannon, knife scabbard, shoulder armors, waist armor and thighguards, and toedusters.... thin leather, velcro, and magnets to the rescue!

Here's a massive amount of pics and info on the build:

The cannon needed something to adapt it to the shape of the torso armor/medkit scallops, so I played around with that two-part foam...

many thanks, here are some more pix

the cannon finished on shoulder:

I made a go at a neckring, but turns out the black one (SuicidalRaider made it) I had from my AVP armor looked better

neckring:

neckring detail:

back of neckring hides the zipper:

IMG_0729.jpg

I had to reinforce and attach torso pieces together; not shown is the thin leather inside along the back torso neckline out to the shoulder seams and onto the front torso armor's shoulder straps.. I also had to figure how to hold the waist armor pieces together; I used the same scheme as my red-and-gold armor.

right shoulder with velcro strap to the torso armor; its lined with leather; also knife scabbard reinforced with leather and strap added to hold it onto the back armor:

IMG_0714.jpg

waist armor back and front belt is reinforced with a leather band; the grey front/back cloth glued on also:

thigh armor attached to waist armor leather:

I put it on my dress form; the shoulder cannon isn't mounted on it, but the velcro is inside the armor.

Many thanks AntCarb did the armor construction and paint, to him

More pix of the build... I sent AntCarb a template for a countdown board I have, and he built the gauntlet so it would fit in there...

it has room for a 4 window P2 style of countdown circuit...

predwolf,

many thanks pm me what kind you want

YautjaQueen, here's more pix of the build:

I had to use new feet (many thanks to Dakath) since the instep guard/toeduster wouldn't fit over the AVP feet; their toedusters were already glued into the sandal holders. Also I had to extend the sole on the sides, the sandals I was using were a little thicker than the existing space inside the feet.

cut sole out of feet:

slot in the back:

"next year" .... got me amped up all over again

DarthPinhead, YautjaQueen, cultcollectables

Glad y'all like it, here's more pix

The wristblade gauntlet was a little too small at the forearm, so I had to figure a method of altering it.

I turned to that thin leather and came up with this solution:

Wristblade gauntlet alteration; cut a slot, insert thin leather and mark the wedge- both sides:

IMG_0767.jpg

IMG_0768.jpg

Inside view of altered gaunt, leather glued inside:

IMG_0770.jpg

I filled the new section with latex till it was level with the old latex; paint with gold mixed with prosaide:

IMG_0771-1.jpg

Weathered gaunt to match the rest of it:

IMG_0772-1.jpg

IMG_0773-1.jpg

The Bio:

I had to adapt the bio to the existing mask, so that the magnets would align and it would stay on.

I put a foam insert in bio, then a leather layer with magnets, then this liner over all:

IMG_0786.jpg

Finished bio liner:

IMG_0806-1.jpg

Painted bio, side:

IMG_0787-1.jpg

Painted bio, back:

IMG_0788-1.jpg

Painted bio front; screen out, to get at small areas:

Arbitrator logo:

Weathered bio, side view:

IMG_0804-1.jpg

Weathered bio, top view:

IMG_0805-1.jpg

Blade gaunt and bio match:

IMG_0803-1.jpg

And the little things had to be taken care of... such as mask/neckring alignment :0

neck pops out; added latex piece to the bottom of the neck, and repainted it:

IMG_0807-1.jpg

next will be suitup pix, will be going in the Completed Suit section

Thanks for watching

Loving the gun and the helmet ( Well, it's all awesome, but those particularly  ).

The helmet looks very anime inspired to me - Almost Steve Wang/Guyver in feel?
Like the logo too - Kodo drummers inspired?
