I wonder - How can I get those Pepakura files? I have looked all over the place for them and apparently I keep missing them! (then again, it may be not ALL over the place, if I haven´t found them).
Can anyone either send them via e-mail to me or PM me where to get them?
Thanks a bunch and keep up the amazing work, Laamberry!
Laamberry, sorry for chiming in late here; I've been away in hospital for a bit. Lovely work on the chestpiece pep. I wish I had half your talent! Thanks so much for keeping us all posted on your progress! (And I will try to find a pic of the old Sweetums costume I mentioned in an earlier post and see if I can get it scanned in; it's from my ancient pre-digital camera days.)

buy a tool called scratch awl and I'll tell you.Does anyone have any advice on the best way to go about the grooves on the helmet? ;] thanks in advance
Draw the grooves in pencil to get them aligned correctly, then using a needle file or a sharp tool, scrape a small pilot groove. Then either work it with a needle file OR take a dremel with an appropriate tool and SLOWLY follow your pilot groove.
...then get into the groove and shake your groove thing (Please don't post pictures or videos of that or we might have a few more pages telling you how much we enjoyed that)

Hahaaa I learnt my lesson the first time around with pics ;] not that I minded the flattery, who would? Thanks for the tips, they'll help!
I wouldn't mind some flattery, but something tells me the average user here isn't going to give me any. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to make due without.haha
And that helmet is looking seriously awesome! This is your first pep project, right? It's awesome. I'm glad you have the patience to see this through. That's what kills most people with Pep, the paper model makes you think you're so close, when really your work is only just beginning.
Keep up the awesome work!

Beast cake, happy birthday, and nicely done with the bondo, looks good so far.
Great cake! You're 19? I'm so freakin' ancient! I thought I was old when a Marine checked in to my Company in GTMO. He was born the year I enlisted 1978.
Are you going with standard colors or will you use something else? Great work!
I love you <3 will that be enough?
Haha, It might actually be too much, my instincts are telling me to ask you to marry me (Don't worry, I'm only 23 haha). But I should be able to fight that instinct long enough to see how awesomely this project comes out.
How did you do the details around the chin? It doesn't seem like you need our help with detailing at all by the look of those lines, they look great.
-Nick
Haha, you guys make me feel like a kid, you know that? 17 -sigh-
marry me
I Do.
...Alright but we have to wear complete Iron Man suits (minus helmets) instead of the normal tux and gown. If that's okay with you, consider us E-gaged. haha

It was actually fairly tedious and they still need a good bit of clean-up.See, my hands are a bit too small to hold the dremel properly so my drilling was too shaky.
So I filled the cuts with bondo and stuck a piece of sheet plastic in the groove. Once the bondo cures you just pop the plastic out and voila! a perfect line is left there in it's stead :]
SCORE. my night is complete.
