Kylo Ren Ultrasaber Customization

Hello all,

This is my first post, but I've been lurking for quite a while and I love this site. That being said, I'm looking for a little assistance (maybe just some theorizing) with customizing an Ultrasaber Flamberge into something looking more like Kylo Ren's saber. I have looked around here for ideas but have come up empty so far. I love the 3D printing models, which might be the way to go depending on how I can get the parts, but I'm just curious what people might think about this plan. This is basically what I bought (I haven't gotten it in the mail just yet):

Anyway, I'm not looking to make it a perfect replica, but I want it to be Kylo Ren-inspired. So, if I happened to miss a post on this topic I apologize, in which case, if you don't mind, just post a link where I can find what I'm looking for. If not, I'd appreciate even vague suggestions.

Thanks! MTFBWY

Welcome! I haven't been on here for long but it's a great community. You could start by having the side emitters slanted a bit but cutting it 45 degrees. There is a wire running down the kylo saber so you could drill a hole in the top and bottom then put a wire in the holes. There is also a functioning kylo belt clip some where on etsy that can be screwed in near the bottom of the saber. A little rub and buff would weather it nicely. Happy building!

Going to be an expensive project. Would have been better to build one from scratch. You can do basic stuff as stated above.

Possibly could get scan files of a 3d printable sabrr and alter them a bit to work as casings to be fitted over top of the hilt , as I remember ultrasabers do have thinner hilts, and kylos saber does seem a bit more thick so this proportion might work in terms of getting the fit of the casings to work on.

Just an idea, no clue if its worth the effort. I opted to just modify my Hasbro black series kylo saber with new LED hardwares

Thanks so much guys! :D A couple ideas I did think of, like the slanted emitter and wire, but the idea with the soldering iron is genius! I'll probably do that. It won't have to be expensive. I'm not looking to make it perfect, just Ren-ish. I might be able to take a Hasbro hilt and modify it to fit over the Ultrasaber, so that's a possibility.

Anyway, thanks for brainstorming. You helped me out a lot.
