LOLOLOL... I'd forgotten the hat. lolol
I bought that in Moscow. Funny how some things become "novelty" items.
BTW,.. since nobody is biting...
The ENTEX kit above was used in the making of many Star Wars Studio Models (as I am certain most of you know). The collaborating efforts of some very talented masters lead to the purchasing of this wonderful model for use and part replication to make other important Studio Models.
Over the past two weeks the parts for SLAVE ONE have been identified and acted upon with the collaborating efforts of these folks,.. plus a few more that will be added later:
Allan Hansen (imaginager)
Lee Ralph (ralphee)
Julien Ceresa (Monsieur Tox)
Matthew T. Meyer (Max Zepher)
Richard Long (REL)
Kurt Kuhn (Kuhn Global)
...and more...
Here is the deal... Our little group is goal oriented. The goal is to IDENTIFY, SHARE info, and PRODUCE Studio Models that would otherwise possibly never happen due to one-sided behavior. This group successfully ID'd the parts of Slave One in TWO weeks. We will replicate the parts, make ourselves kits, SHARE the identiciation of ALL parts for ANY MODEL we reproduce for ourselves to ANYONE that wishes to know,.. AND possibly even offer those parts to other modelers in what we are beginning to call (The Parts Bank). The last idea is still in early discussion stages.
What we will NEVER do is recast anyone's finished model or work for use in that SAME model's creation. Basically the same rules and code that reigns will still reign in this arena. Otherwise ANY kit that has been produced with ANY parts from ANY kits readily sold in hobby shops or the world would be considered "recasting" and thus would eliminate MOST kits offered in the Garage Kit Arena. So,.. before placing a lable on our group for doing something wonderful,.. maybe look at yourself and what you own to see if you have fallen into the same catagorey you would be placing a label on.
Studio Models are made from parts of many styrene kits from many arenas. We would enjoy seeing these options offered more direct and simplified in order that creativity may thrive for ALL modelers,..especially those who cannot afford to spend upwards of $1000 on a kit for a single part.
We are goal oriented with creativity in mind. If it can be produced, (in full or parts form), it will be. We will do one item at a time and share the info once it is learned so that "Nobody" has to spend 14 years obtaining this info. Life is too short.
A "not-so-new" way of thinking for a new era of modeling. The right people (same thinking) just needed to be placed together to make it happen.
Now,.. I am assuming comment will now be open.
Then again,.. maybe not.
Oh,... and fear not Car Model Enthusiasts... the Entex will not be harmed.
