I started my Vader helmet with the Krylon Indoor/Outdoor paint but I want to switch over to the Duplicolor Truck, Van, SUV paint. The duplicolor is a laquer but I don't know what the Krylon is. Can I just spray over the Krylon with the Duplicolor? Will there be some reaction? The Krylon has dryed for a few days now. Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Jeff

I would say it should be fine, but Lacquer based paints tend to really craze if they're mixed with something they don't like.

Krylon offers both Laquer paints and Enamels. Check the Krylon bottle and see if it mentions the word laquer or toluene on it. Most Krylon is laquer based, but I'd experiment with a bit on a piece of cardboard and then spray the duplicolor over the dried krylon first just to test. If it's enamel, I don't care how long it's been drying, and you spray laquer over it........it will wrinkle up from the enamel towards the surface. If both are laquers however, it won't hurt anything. I've mixed those two brands of laquer paints before with no issues whatsoever.
