Decided to try my hand at putting one of these together and figured I'd ask if anyone might be interested in one.

Here are a few images at about 80% completion. I am not claiming this to be 100% accurate since I wasn't able to find images from all angles of the movie version - I used the WETA as the inspiration. I purposely avoided making all the engraving lines perfectly straight.




I have since added the top of the bell (part to hang it from) and the halves are currently under silicone. I forgot to take pics prior to pouring

I should be able to post pics of the first cast tomorrow night. I need to pick up some bells for them as well.

So here are some pics of the first cast from the molds. I did this one in onyx but you can also choose white (smooth cast 300). I added a few quick colour washes before tossing it up on the tree.

These are hollow (2 pieces) and come with a bell to attach to the inside so you get a nice jingle.

Price will be $30 USD including shipping (within N America) for a kit (2 domes, bell and ribbon). Please post here if you are interested.
