Klingon Rifle from Into Darkness

I am a big Trek guy and love Klingon props. I saw this and wanted to make it, and do it right.

I wanted it to feel real and also be solid. So I started out with the main body being 1/2" aluminum. Then build an array of things around it, including printed ABS and resin parts, and lots of metal!!

Here are some pics of the original, my WIP and my final prop. I hope you enjoy!

Holy lots of metal! How did you work the aluminum, laser/water/plasma? Anyways, love all the metal, what's it weigh?

Its 11.7lbs. The main part was water jet cut. The small parts were machined. It's a beast!
