Klingon Plate Info

Hello all. Does anyone know anything about these plates? I can't seem to find any reference to them online. They were used in a few Klingon episodes of DS9. Some episodes show several of them at a time leading me to believe they may have been a found item. If anyone has any information on them it would be most appreciated.

Considering how old the item is I doubt I'll find anything but I'll take a look. Maybe they have something similar. Thanks.

To me, it looks like either some kind of serving dish or something you actually cook on. To help narrow down your search I'd research culinary supplies.

I lost the info, but I remember being artisan plates painted as metallic pewter -- 11in. diameter. I also remember that an auction that had a few in a lot, a plate was broken off the handles (which are conected under the dish). Sadly, I lost that info in a hard drive crash.
