Kite Guns - references?

OK, since it's way too hot and humid to do any painting in Atlanta this weekend, I've decided to stay inside and make an effort to sculpt the gun from KITE, the anime. :love

What I'm wondering is if any of the other anime fans here know of better reference for the guns than the film itself.

I will be sure to post progress pics as I work on it.

Having wanted to build the gun myself, i looked for reference material myself. I was only able to get screencaps from the DVD, which is basicly all you need.

I know it's basically all I need, and I've seen Birdie's built as well, I was just curious if there was published concept drawings of them (like the appleseed guns) or if there was even a manga of it printed up that might have cool art.

There is an art book available, but it's mostly perrvy stuff :lol
